Making faster, data-driven decision in ports requires up-to date geo-information

A port administration of any kind collects huge amount of information, which is used daily by various entities. Port mapper is a data management platform that’s port management that makes information management smarter, safer and objective decisions regarding space infrastructure.

PortMapper connects teams management, employees and subcotractors in daily hydrographic and spatial acquisitions routines, thus eliminating everyday activities that can be automated and don’t need human decision. With the ability to view and utilize port and asset data quickly and easily online, ports authorities gain the power to effectively oversee and optimize operations. The easy-to-use interface, smart tools, and online environment ensure that data is available for all, in one place at any time.

IMO Blacklist & IMO Management

SeaTech provides a dedicated IMO Management module that helps ports enforce safety, compliance, and regulatory restrictions. The system automatically checks all incoming vessels against configurable IMO lists and immediately flags ships that are not allowed to call at EU ports or that require additional verification. When an agent attempts to submit a Notice of Arrival (NoA) for a restricted vessel, SeaTech blocks the submission and issues a clear alert.

Key Features

  • Automatic Blocking & Alerts – if an agent attempts to submit a NoA for a vessel listed on the IMO blacklist, SeaTech instantly displays a warning and prevents submission until the port coordinator intervenes.
  • EU Compliance Enforcement – supports maintaining local or regulatory-driven lists of vessels prohibited from entering EU ports (e.g., sanctions, safety restrictions, certification issues).
  • IMO Ignore List – overrides AIS automation by excluding specific vessels from generating Auto-Draft NoAs (useful for service boats, local units, or vessels not requiring full handling).
  • IMO Multiple Entry List – automatically creates multi-entry NoAs for vessels that routinely enter and leave the port several times during the same operational period.
IMO Blocking in SeaTech

SeaTech automates and standardises the entire Notice of Arrival workflow by validating every submission made by shipping agents.

Shipping agencies enter operational data for every arriving vessel, ensuring the port receives consistent and structured information at the earliest stage. SeaTech automatically checks these submissions for completeness, accuracy and compliance, highlighting conflicts, missing data, invalid IMOs or scheduling issues. The platform also cross-references all NoAs with AIS events, synchronising real vessel movements with the digital workflow. This significantly reduces manual corrections and creates a reliable, auditable operational record.

  • Guided NoA creation – step-by-step forms for vessel data, cargo, services and berth scheduling to prevent incomplete or inconsistent submissions.

  • Automatic validation – SeaTech verifies IMO numbers, service selections, pricing conditions, AIS data alignment and required fields in real time.

  • Multi-entry support – one NoA can contain several entries for vessels with repeated operations, with shared or individual data logic.

  • Status-driven workflow – NoAs pass through a transparent lifecycle (Draft → Submitted → Confirmed → Verified → Completed) with email notifications at every change.

  • AIS-linked automation – SeaTech creates Auto-Draft NoAs, updates arrival/departure timestamps and triggers status transitions based on live AIS events.

Geofencing & Auto Generated Port Calls

SeaTech uses AIS-based geofencing to automatically detect vessel movements and create Auto-Draft port calls — ideal for highly repetitive traffic like CTVs serving offshore wind farms.

When a vessel crosses the port’s geofenced boundary, SeaTech instantly recognises the AIS event and generates an Auto-Draft port call without any manual input from the agent. This is particularly valuable for Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) supporting offshore wind farm maintenance, which may enter and leave the port multiple times per day. Instead of submitting a new port call for every single movement, agents simply review or supplement the automatically created drafts when needed. SeaTech synchronises AIS timestamps, logs each port call event and keeps the entire movement history ready for further reporting and analysis.

  • Real-time AIS-driven detection – port calls are automatically created when a vessel enters or leaves the port’s geofenced area.

  • Perfect for CTVs and repetitive traffic – removes the need to manually submit dozens of identical port calls during offshore wind maintenance campaigns.

  • Auto-Draft port calls – SeaTech pre-populates key arrival/departure data, allowing agents to simply review and confirm.

  • Unmatched AIS alerts – port coordinators are notified when AIS movements cannot be linked to any existing port call, so they can quickly investigate.

  • Automatic status evolution – arrival and departure events update port call records without manual corrections, improving data quality and reporting accuracy.

Reporting & Data-Ready Operations

Every port call, AIS event, service request, price calculation and operator action is recorded in a structured and validated format. Because SeaTech enforces correct data entry at the source — and synchronises vessel movements automatically — ports gain a clean, high-quality dataset without additional manual work. This allows even small harbours with limited staff to generate regulatory reports, operational statistics and long-term trend analyses effortlessly. With a complete operational history captured in one place, ports can quickly answer questions from authorities, stakeholders or internal teams.

  • Validated operational database – all arrival, departure, cargo and service data is checked, structured and stored automatically.

  • Ready-made reporting foundation – ports can easily generate statistics on traffic, quay usage, vessel types, services, tariffs, turnaround times and more.

  • Regulatory support – data can be used for reporting to maritime authorities, statistical offices, environmental agencies or EU compliance frameworks.

  • Long-term analytics – SeaTech enables small and medium ports to track trends such as seasonality, CTV movements, cargo fluctuations or OPS demand.

  • Single source of truth – all stakeholders work on one consistent dataset, eliminating errors caused by emails, spreadsheets or manual logs.

Pricing, Services & Operational Handling

SeaTech centralises all port tariffs and operational services, ensuring transparent pricing and seamless handling of every port call.

All services, commodity dues and shipping charges are managed in a single configuration panel, making it easy for port staff to maintain accurate and up-to-date tariffs. When agents submit port calls, SeaTech automatically calculates estimated dues based on vessel parameters, GT intervals, length of stay, service selections and predefined rules. Planned price updates, multipliers and conditions are handled automatically, ensuring consistent billing even in complex scenarios. At the operational level, services are clearly defined, validated and linked to each vessel call, enabling ports to track everything from cranes and water supply to waste handling and OPS usage.

  • Unified pricing engine – manage service fees, cargo dues and shipping dues in one place with full historical traceability.
  • Interval- and condition-based logic – support for GT/LOA brackets, daily multipliers, vessel type conditions and complex tariff rules.
  • Planned updates & change control – schedule future price changes with clear effective dates and automatic UI indicators.
  • Operational service workflow – agents select required services during the port call creation, and SeaTech validates availability and pricing in real time.
  • Automatic calculations – estimated charges are generated instantly based on vessel data, AIS timestamps and service selections, reducing billing errors and disputes.
